Since he was posting distortions, which you knew were distortions and might well have corrected but instead proposed, with no disapprobation hinted at, that he post that moronic post to the other thread, it appeared to meyou found that it to have some merit. What you said, and all you said, about brees's idiocy was "You should post your post over there and see what emerges." You didn't say, "because you took things out of context of a literary discussion in which I participated, and the speakers should have a chance to explain that" or anything remotely like that.
