Why not take the music with you? I always do.

Funny, but my biggest fear when traveling the open road alone was bad mechanics. Still is.

Peppers and Mexican food . . . reminds me of when I lived in Missouri and there was not a Mexican restaurant to be found anywhere. Not even a Taco Bell. I learned to cook the stuff myself. On my annual foray back to California, I would pack the car with great gobs of Mexican ingredients from the local Safeway and haul it all back to Missouri. I cooked some pretty good Mexican stuff back then and shared it with my yet uninitiated friends. They loved it too. Said they'd never had anything like it.

I would like to think that I was in my own small way responsible for all the wonderful Mexican restaurants and grocery stores that can now be found in the midwest, but that's probably a stretch.

Anyway have a fun and frolicking roadtrip and do stop in some cybercafes along the way and keep us informed and regaled with your stories.

And . . . don't forget to take the music . . .

Hi, Holly! I will count on the good graces of the dj's for taking the music with me. Yah, bad mechanics. Good mechanics. The latter I am banking on. Breaking down sucks, though I've met some fun people that way mostly it's just bothersome. And there's that age thing. I just can't drive all night like I used to. And I don't want to. Lazy middle-aged ass. But I'm awake. And if I remember to get my toothbrush, I'm packed. I think there is at least one cyber-cafe where I'm headed. So good to hear from you. Worth the late night and goofy talk.

Later!
