Hi Cat: Well, as people are so fond of saying, "this time it is different" -- how different it is too soon to tell for sure. There is no "magic mark" -- these guys screwed themselves royally and the stock price level was used as a rough guide to technical measures of when your liabilities exceed your assets -- and hey, a lot of these guys are already there as of ten years ago and are just hanging around waiting to be put out of their misery -- sort of like somebody who bought a load of net stocks and held them through our whole bubble ordeal -- except in Japan they normally used borrowed money to finance their binge asset buying.
