To quibble over 12-year-olds vs 20-somethings is futile indeed. Its not quibbleing. It is rather an important distinction. It may be futile both in the sense that its not going to change anyone on SI's opinion and in the sense that it is not going to result in any changes in what is happening in the Middle East. It's clear that the Jewish population and the Palestinians don't have the same demographics True but would Israel be sending 12 year olds against the PLO or Hammas if the did have the same demographics as the Palestinians? Probably not, and if they did I would be against the idea and I'm sure Nadine would as well. Tim
