That sounds wonderful, and I am sure my little boy prefers Kevin's scenario! :)

I just discovered Dennis the Menace cartoons on WB and he loves that. I am praying that he can withstand the long hours today. I think a full day for this age is a long day. I do not need a babysitter.

I am trying to be supportive of the teacher, because I have been there, too.

Let me know how their first day is! :)Leigh

PS, My morning today was more hectic! I try to put out his clothes the night before, but it always gets hectic!

Are there any secrets for being organized? I am teasing, because for my effort, I think I am progressing. Do I get an "E?"

Have you noticed how many children have given up backpacks in favor of the luggage you see at the airport? Is this a trend. They keep passing me draging their luggage to school!

:)Leigh

I meant to post this here instead. :)

How was the first day of school?

Who will sleep better tonight, you or the children?

:)Leigh

This isn't a precious moment about my kids, but about me as a kid, but it came up on another thread, and I thought it might be amusing to post here.

I remember once when a friend and I were in a William Tell phase her mother looked out
her window one day -- I was maybe six then -- to find her daughter standing in front of a
tree with an apple on her head and me holding my bow and arrow and very carefully, very
responsibly taking aim. Her ferocious screech startled me, and this tiger of a mother came
screaming out into the yard, dragged poor Debbie into the house by the arm, and slammed
the door behind them. And made me think I had done something wrong. Which I couldn't
understand. If WT could do it and be a hero for it, why couldn't I?

My bow was taken away from me. So unfair, I thought. I mean, it was history, wasn't it?
And we were being very careful about it.
