I disagree with the notion that SUNW must eventually become a software co. Their competitive advantage right now is the tight integration between their hardware and software- I hope they don't give up on that.

IMHO, there is reason to be cautiously optimistic here. I value stocks on book value plus present value of future cash flows and believe that SUNW will announce innovative new products with capability to scale far beyond competitors' capabilities. Demand will bounce back. Look at previous revolutions like railroads- mass euphoria, mass disillusionment and panic, followed by stable growth and acceptance of innovation.
