Don has a very good point (and an excellent O'Rourke quote), but considering that there are over 500 members of Congress, the data on credit ratings, spousal abuse, and drunk driving isn't so bad (nothing to boast about, either). After all, a lot of these transgressions get publicity, and the electorate votes them back in.........

I agree with this one 100%. Politicians today remind me of the senators of ancient Rome......and we all know what happened to that empire.

Gary Condit is a symptom of the problem. The problem is we elect congressmen for life. The problem is we pay them too damn much, give them lavish benefits and treat them like royalty.
