Jim, why shouldn't AMD just design a CPU that scales well ?? Wouldn't
that be "smarter" and lower risk than trying to play "PR rating" games ??!!

Nobody will know what a PR rating is. Intel probably spends $30 on marketing for every dollar AMD spends. To the few consumers who are aware of it, it will look like BS. You are right, what AMD needs to do is say their lower MHz processor runs MS Word faster, runs MS Excel faster, runs Internet Explorer faster. Simple stuff that people can relate to, and that casts doubt on P4.

Market dicey today, eh?
