Nasdaq is sitting on the 1990 trendline. If this breaks . . .

RE epicenter is SanFran (SanJose, Marin, Berkeley, SantaCruz)

personally I believe we will see regional epicenters in every major metro area
NewJackCity
Chicago
Boston
WashDC
Atlanta
LosAngeles

no place to hide on this one
been thinking about my old rules that were so relevant in 1999
like "3/8 retracements"
after the RE rise from 1981 to 1986, prices fell to give back 3/8 of that large rise

the base time now is 1993
in Boston for instance, prices rose by about 85-100%
some sections grew faster than others
e.g. near major routes, rail lines, good schools, nice ponds, ocean views, office sites

could we see a 3/8 giveback in the last decade's rise?
very easily
that would come to about a 15-20% price decline
I doubt it will happen
not with restrictions on new building
who knows?
thanks for the article, Scott
sorry to bitch you out two weeks ago for the floods
you have been sharing the wealth these days
I find myself checking certain stories not addressed to me
some rich stories
interesting times we live in

I still wish I had sold all the effing QCOM back in Jan2k
then bought three different 2-family properties
then gone on vacation to Italy for two weeks
then manage the property and looked for a fun job with less stress
oh well, Jim
