11:30 ET Dow -118, Nasdaq -52, S&P -14.29: [BRIEFING.COM] After showing a measure of resilience in the early-going, the equity market has rolled over, pressured by a number of factors.. Most notably, Sun Microsystems (SUNW -2.79) had a disappointing mid-quarter update, the Help-Wanted Advertising Index checked in at levels that were even below the recession period of a decade ago, and the Dow dropped below 10,000... Although the latter development is not necessarily significant from a technical standpoint, it is a psychological blow for already fragile investor sentiment as it marks the first time since April 12 the blue chip average has traded below 10,000... Subsequently, there are growing concerns that there will be a re-test of the spring lows for each of the major indices (Dow 9106.54; Nasdaq 1619.58; S&P 1081.19)... In the meantime, the initial zones of support for the Dow and Nasdaq are 9968 and 1785, respectively, with penetration leaving the next zones of support at 9935/9930 and 1770/1760... NYSE Adv/Dec 1025/1796... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 842/2268.
