Being diversified isn't necessarily better. Being diversified does lower the risk as well as the reward, though. Big difference, IMO.

Depends. Do you want to risk your business on one thing, have it streak across the sky in a blaze of glory, only to burn out in a short time... ala dot coms, or do you want you want to spread out the risk (and yes, the reward) to have long term safer growth.

AMD seems to be going for the risk. Good for them. If that's also your philosphy, Good for you too. It's not what I want from my investments, and it's not how I would run my company. To each their own.

The point remains, and I think you've proven it. AMD and Intel are certainly not in "The Same Environment". Thanks for confirming it.
