Shaw I tested that model in Antarctica using Pairgain Eq ....I really take credit for the Idea . We had a
Unmanned Earth station and the only way to access the FDDI network while working at the site
was through slow dial up connections. I suggested we hang a HDSL modem at each end of a
ATT 940 Mux program the circuit as a FX and with a radio in between (LOS Microwave ) we were
able to plug a 8 port hub off the remote modem and that provided acess to the FDDI network.

This was the first place this was done that I know Of and it worked ok last I heard.
