Jim, I honestly don't know. They're in a really shitty spot. There have been great campaigns that have gotten corps out of worse situations than this, those guys are gods.

But smear campaigns rarely work. Somehow they simply need to educate people that Mhz is no longer a valid benchmark. This will at least get people thinking. It needs to be a campaign with SEVERAL creative executions conveying the same message. But I don't think they can rip on PIV too much, partly because I have no idea how much copper, shrinking and this threading thingy will improve PIV.

AMD really needs to protect themselves from sounding like a bunch of big sissys. In this regard, I have no confidence in ANYONE at the company. They shouldn't be in this situation to start.

Honestly, if the campaign sucks - it will do more harm than good. I will quickly sell my remaining position, buy more INTC and maybe even short AMD. The way PIV is ramping, AMD is in some serious trouble for a good while.

Man, this market sucks!
