There is a tendency among members of the left to use one word descriptions to belittle their opponent: Homophobe, misogynist, racist. Rush tries to do the same (femi-nazi). Before Rush, the only one word description a Conservative would use against someone they didn't like, was to call them a Socialist or Communist (not very useful if your opponent was already a Socialist).

Some members of the left say the right hates: poor people, children, homeless... Rush says that the Left hates: traditional families, religion, small family business/farm, hard work...

Both use satire an mockery to get their points across.

Rush is successful because in the past, defenders of the Conservative movement seemed to have starched pressed pants, starched pressed shirts, starched pressed underwear, and no sense of humor.

Before Rush, the most entertaining and funny Republican (with national exposure) was William Buckley (he would slouch).

Well did you notice the eyes of mr. bill's face at the office opening. They were very strange looking. If depressed mr. bill is coking like his brother he may not have the ability to speak coherently any more. If he becomes news then his latest loves will become public.
