Joe,
Israel and Macedonia peanuts compared to what China/Russia may do if their economies collapse. Countries always revert to nationalism when their people become restive due to economic collapse. Mideast problem could become an oil problem i guess.
Bush again appears to be on the outside. Even if this is wise policy it makes him appear out of touch and a lightweight. Saw him on TV last nite talking about mideast and he seemed to be bumbling. mike

Joe,
Now it is possible we could get a late day rally today? Go Joe Go! mike

PS re greenie sweettalk. Fed has always had input with banks and in return banks always get bailed out. Same scenario with ceo's with a quid quo pro to lower rates more, devalue dollar, revalue dollar or whatever it takes to give them a safety net of some kind if and when they start to spend. What you are really trying to accomplish is to spend next quarters money now, first quarter in 4th q. etc.
