I agree. We now see EQUALIZED tech price line ups, grouped really for investment ranges, as opposed to trading ranges. All that is need is one good catalyst to start the recovery rally. It should occur by next quarters earnings for the NASDAQ 100, even the top 10. But I beleive the impetus, the spark , will come unannounced, probably the result of some major cash cows pumping up the volume once the lack of as many earning warnings are noticed or somewhat mesurable as we enter what has been 6 prior quarters of earnings warnings season. Then confirmed by early earnings reports or upward earnings estimate revisions. I suspect European stocks may lead, which is counter intuitive I know, but with the currency, the EURO devalued, there should be an advantage accretive to earnings for European manufacturers and exporters. Perhaps, unlike Ford's gloomy news, The German Auto's could provide that leadership. However, I still adhere to the theory that US Techs should report earnings improvements before the traditional Fortune 1000 do, because of the sequence of the component parts of the business cycle. Its a race, and to be fair, I acknowledge that it will be interesting to see who reports out first with clearly positive earnings and clearly high visibility for future growth and improved earnings going forward. CSCO? Maybe. SAP or ORCL? STORAGE? I'll bet Storage unless we are in the Christmas season then it will be the gadget du jour, then my prediction is PALM (which I own) or HANDspring.
I am,
Truly your$,
