Thomas - astute observation that the wreckedness of tech depends on perspective.

This is very much like folks downstream from a dam that has ruptured.

Those immediately downstream are, well, wrecked and washed away. Survivors will complain rather loudly, one would think.

Those at intermediate distance might enjoy white water rafting for a while, only to complain later that all the water went away.

Those very very far down stream may notice a temporary rise in water level and some increased pollution. Perhaps to mumble on about "this too shall pass".

despite all the ballyhoo about layoffs.

Its only ballyhoo, if one has not been laid off.

Yes you are right. This hasn't been a disaster yet.

Keep your crash helmet securely fastened until the economy has come to a complete stop!

>>If you look past the peak to the longer turn trend, this is really not much more than a dip in the road, we are just feeling it that much more because of the unjustified bounce which preceded it. <<
denial and prayer, good combo
you never saw the "dip" coming so how do you know this is a "dip"
OR reversion to the mean?
