INTC scheduled its warning on 09/06: 11:26 ET Salomon Conference Update : On an already anxious trading day, talk of cancellations for the Sep 4-7 Salomon Smith Barney tech conference is exacerbating the negativity, but sources at Salomon telling Briefing.com that the only definite cancellation thus far has been Microtune (TUNE 16.12 -0.99) which had not been a definite anyway; ORCL and SEBL also have been questionable and have not officially confirmed their appearances. INTC will present, but will not hold one-on-one meetings, as its midQ update is on Sep 6. briefing.com
