Note to Leftist Media: Condit Is No Republican, No Conservative

Fox News Channel, bless its heart, has blown the whistle on those left-wing media types who keep trying to portray embattled Rep. Gary Condit, D-Calif., as some kind of conservative.

The facts: Condit has a 52 percent rating from the leftist group Americans for Democratic Action and 48 percent rating from American Conservative Union. Even victims of government schools' math classes can see that these numbers make Condit more liberal than conservative.

Certain reporters need to learn these facts. A C-SPAN anchorman last week called Condit a Republican, CNN gab host Larry King called him "very conservative," and Newsweek reporter Michael Isikoff, who ought to know better, called him a conservative, Fox News reported today. Perhaps these journalists were comparing Condit to themselves.

Of the 179 Condit stories carried by the ABC, CBS and NBC from May 14 to July 11, he was identified as a Democrat only 14 times, Media Research Center pointed out. Compare that, for example, to the outraged Dan Rather's repeated references to "Republican Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris" when, "as she sees it," she certified George W. Bush's presidential election victory.

Yet these "mainstream" media keep denying their left-wing bias. Is it any wonder Fox News keeps beating its competition? You certainly won't hear this news on CNN or CBS.

What is a conundrum? Is it when tax and spend Libs mug for the cameras while inking into law tax cuts they know are popular with the people ans seem to allow continued PorkasUsual spending habits? Only to find a revenue shortfall.

They did sign the cuts into law.
