OT Rant :

Thomas, I am one of those affected by the layoffs, and I can tell you that I personally dont give 2 hoots what the stats say about unemployment rate - I care about me getting back to the workforce.

Its not noise & gnashing of teeth to me.

It isn'tjust about being laid off:many people are taking jobs at skill levels way below what they can do and pay way below what they were accustomed to living on. Friends that have businesses have seen the business revenue drastically cut, with attendant cuts in worker's hours or number of people employed. Not good. Not good at all. And San Diego is doing well compared to other places.
