the real frequency number is more deceptive when you call it speed or performance. Intel can say that it is frequency or clock but the choice was speed. I am not accusing intel of deceiving public even if they do so - it is part of the business. The problem is to cry faul play when another side is doing the same thing

Tenchu, So what AMD needs is a clock on the MOBO that runs at 2x the CPU clock. They then quote the mobo clock speed as whatever it is and they can now sell a 2.8 Ghz Athlon.
Since the P-4 speed is also an artifact of it's architecture it is similar. The P-4 will indeed have a slower MOBO clock.
