Ah, Neo, the voice of reason. I see the current slowdown as caused by neither Clinton or Bush. Some blame should be laid at the feet of momentum traders who pushed the .com bubble to ungodly heights. The bubble popped as it had to and good stocks were hammered to cover margins.

You start taking $100's of billions out of the economy via the market lowering values and you get a slowdown. Dr. Greenspan didn't see the pop hitting the bubble and raised the rates at exactly the wrong time. Double whammy. People seeing their investments shrinking pulled back. Add in the slowdown in Japan and Europe and things look ugly.

People want and people will start buying. In a few months the tide will change.
