<<We need recovery. Not we bulls. Not we investors at large. We Americans. We need the markets to recover, so that the economy is not further damaged. We need the economy to recover so that consumer confidence is not further eroded. An avalanche can begin with the smallest vibration>> - excellent point Rande!!!

I think this recession is just forming myself. We haven't seen anything yet. Traders are still thinking things could just turn and get better overnight and the irrational exhuberance could come right back and stocks could fly again. Not gonna happen...not for a while anyway. Americans are hardly suffering. When the banks are selling homes at 30 cents on the dollar just to get rid of them, that will be a sign that the bottom might be about in. Forget what these so-called media analysts have to say. They are clueless as a group. Many young moneymakers (guys our age) haven't tasted recession before...not severe recession anyway. We have them...and we are headed into one. Cash is kng in a recession...so hang on to yours for some really good deals. We will be in our 40's before we see times like we have the past ten years. There are still a ton of great shorts out there.

Just my opinion.

Greg

chicago purchasing number, ralph bloch on arms index and big profits and traditional post labor day rally should be enough to get the shorts covering today, we may get some swings but we should get a green day today, and probably some follow through early next week before we hit earnings warnings season and get wacked again
