OH that is so funny and cute! Ammo would hold his plate out, look pitiful and say, "Please, sir, may I have some more?", not just at home but in buffet lines at restaurants. So I know what you mean. Eventually we stopped trying to explain him to people. They either got it or they didn't. This summer he lifeguarded at a club and saw the same families day after day. He started wearing a bandana around his forehead, and then one day he added one to his arm, and a day later another on the other arm, and then he started adding them to his legs. Finally I said, what are you DOING? He said, just seeing what happens. Both my boys are driven by that urge -- seeing what happens. It's a little scary.
