i run a sentiment oscillator which is an amalgam of many different sentiment data on a daily basis. tonight it is almost as low as it was in march, early april, june 14, etc. but not quite. another ugly day down and a V bottom tuesday or even a really ugly AM and V tomorrow could do it. those march/april lows are begging to get taken out...or so it seems to me. i just saw a 15 second art cashin soundbite on the evening news and he was more or less saying the same thing.
