What, you don't want your boys playing William Tell with their sisters? Awww, spoilsport!

I will say that I seem to come by lawering honestly. I fear my sister and I fought more than many other siblings. She wore braids, and I used to pull them. Until my father told me one night in no uncertain terms that if I pulled her braids again I would get spanked big time.

The next day I was accused of pulling her braids despite the warning. My excuse was, I think, fully up to lawyer standard, even at the age of six or seven or whatever.

"But Dad, I DIDN'T pull her braid. I just held it and tickled her and SHE did all the pulling."

I really felt unfairly treated when I got spanked anyhow. Still rankles. Damn it, I was RIGHT. It was his fault for stating the law wrong.

Perceived injustices at that age do linger, don't they?
