Further WorldCom capex reductions.

"The company said on Wednesday that consolidated 2002 capital spending will be about $6 billion, with about $5.5 billion of that devoted to the WorldCom Group. That compares to with the 2001 capital budget of $7.5 billion to $8 billion for the WorldCom Group. The company cited ``increased capital efficiency'' for the lower spending outlook. "
