Micro,

Let me grab you napkin for a sec. OK, we got 75 million chips in 2001, $1.00 EPS. Multiply that by 13 gets us to 1 billion. Allow for some erosion of ASP's on handsets and chips and we get our $10.00 EPS. Agreed.

The question is...is one billion doable by 2010? Somehow I get the feeling the conversion from GSM to some sort of CDMA is gonna take longer and be much slower than we all expect.

My only consolation is when multi mode chips/handsets begin to appear.

More later...
