Why should companies get subsidies?.....if there is a better way to do something, they should do it regardless of whether the govt can subsidize it. Why should the auto giants get subsidies to improve gas mileage?. Can you or I get a subsidy for if we drive slower?

Eliminate corporate income taxes and then we don't even have to discuss tax credits. US shouldn't have a Federal industrial policy. Mix politics with economics and you end up with insanity.
