jnpr two downgrades this morning:

Juniper Networks (JNPR) 14.43: Friedman Billings initiates coverage with a MARKET UNDERPERFORM and a target price of $10; believes Juniper's largest customers, WorldCom, Metropolitan Fiber Networks, Genuity and Qwest, are cancelling contracts for IP routers due to concerns about cash conservation and low network utilization rates; these customers may have accounted for 40% of Juniper's revenues in 1H01; says router prices could fall more than the 25% firm had factored in for 2002, depressing gross margins more than anticipated.

08:58 ET Juniper Networks (JNPR) 14.43: USB Piper Jaffray downgrading to NEUTRAL from Buy; cites further declines in capex spending, softer international sales, and increasing competitive pressures.
