I've never tried to do something like that but from what I read about this program it should do the trick for you.
You can schedule a macro to run the program for you.

I downloaded the Macro program and set it up to run a WinDoctor which requires a keyboard entry and it works like a charm. It's shareware but ought to take care of you til the network guy gets back.
