This may take some time then - I just don't see investors throwing in the towel as long as you have the CNBCs of the world parading these analysts on painting a picture that recovery is just around the corner.

Why is this action a necessary precursor to recovery?

Is some onerous problem then fixed?

What recovery mechanism is now magically activated by such a capitulation?

Is this some sort of game of chicken between The Smart Money and J6P (you and me).

Or, is this just a matter of a widespread myth being accepted as "fact"?
