July is the month with the suggestive data that we have bottomed. Leading indicators were positive while trailing and most current indicators were still bad to nuetral. You are looking at a trailing indicator while I was looking at the leading indicators back then. August's numbers are likely to be stable or improving if indicators like book-to-bill ratios, inventory levels, and purchasing activity turn out to be accurate.
