Yes, privatization is the sensible way to preserve SS. The only other way that wouldn't include a massive lowering of standards of living is to somehow in 10-20 years get 2 people to be as productive as 3 1/2 people are today.

That requires sustained massive economic growth. Eliminate Capital gains and corporate income taxes. Slash unproductive regulations. Privatize the government schools.

You know, all the modest proposals we bring up from time to time here.
