Ike: "can anything of use to us be free forever ?" Probably not free, but not exactly a zillion dollar business either. I have been using email since 1984 and not paid for it. As a communication medium, I expect the cost to go down over time -- hard for it to go done from zero -- and I do not think that Yahoo, for example, is a great investment, which is the point of the posting. Yahoo will exist. People will use Yahoo services and buy Yahoo stock -- but at what price? I think the stock is fully valued today if it moves down in the range of its IPO and then slowly builds back up from there over the next ten years.
