WinMX (WinMX.com)for shear volume of file selection. Ability to connect to multiple servers at the same time.
I've been connected to 29 servers at once. I got a super server list if you want it...e-mail me.
Often you can get thousands of selections on a search.

Morpheus (MusicCity.com) for the ability to download very large files (even 1 gig). The program has an extremely sophisticated method of reconnecting you to a new user if your connection is broken and continuing your DL until completion...
It can even DL parts of a file from multiple users at the same time...
