Thanks for the article. That's how technology works -- a newer, faster, more reliable, more expandable, more versatile, smaller footprint machine that consumes less power becomes available and the value proposition is compelling, even if the additional capacity isn't needed immediately. There are still a lot of DEC Vax's out there waiting to be replaced; the savings in electricity alone can often justify an upgrade.

I think I read that IBM is going to EOL OS/2, which is used in many ATM's. Compaq is going to EOL the Alpha. Both of those present opportunities.

JMHO, of course.
