As MetalTrader noted in a post on the now disinfected sisd thread, referring to chart analysis: "charts are to me the canary in the mine...When the price keels over, feet in the air, little x's in its eyes, I might not smell the gas but I know there might well be poison in the atmosphere."

I suggest you all keep an eye on me, Warp and Jqp. When you see us with our little feet in the air and little x's in our eyes, get out of Dodge fast. In the meantime we will expect to draw hazardous duty pay. For now my little feet are still pointing south and my eyes are full of $$$'s. g. Canary Ed

JQ:

"Am really glad the folks on this thread can debate like this without it getting personal."

I never understood the motivations of some posters on long distant threads to make an ego thing out of this great opportunity called the internet. All existence in cyberspace is theoretical, in any event. I could be a 19 year old living at Mom's, typing away on her connection while she works as a receptionist at the bank, investing in 50 share lots via Datek or I could be 57 years old and managing a portfolio of $6 million of "play money" while hedge funds and investment banks manage the rest.

There is no room for ego in the market, and the only truly valuable coin exchanged here is the good idea. JimP's had quite a few, Dabum has given more than he's received, and I'm your basic free-rider with an occasional opinion. But all good communities are more or less like this.

Rotation ? - Lots of shorts, lots of money on the sidelines -

One possiblity is new money does NOT back to tech, because of fear of more bad news & fear of tax loss selling.
So maybe the money goes to supermarket stocks, or to regional banks (which are strting to look toppy) or somewhere elese...

People have gone back to tach a couple of times now, and unless you are nimble, you can get hit. Some people have been burned each time, and will look at somethng besides tech...

I'll bet we see some heavy sector rotation between now and end of September.
