Someone please get me up to speed here.

I was visiting Canada for a vacation a couple of weeks ago and heard about this lumber tariff all over the news. Then a province, British Columbia I think, said it was going to price it's lumber higher in order to aviod the tariff. This seemed to have upset some Canadians. Did this come about or was it just talk? This thing doesn't make the news down here (southern New England).

On an unrelated note: I've got an idea on how to make things more orderly for the patient migrations over the border with US patients going into Canada for cheap prescriptions and Canadian patients coming into the US for operations. Heck why not set up operating tables and chemotherapy treatment centers right with US border patrol and pharmacy outlets right with Canadian border patrol? Seems like that'd make things more convenient for these people.

Hi marcos,

I happen to be partial to those asphalted clear-cuts called Victoria and Vancouver. Twas not they, nor their cultural charms I was disparaging. Was indeed the rate of rape of the deep woods that caused my momentary perturbation. I see we won't be discussing that here. Kudos to you for the masterfully political spin and the complete change of subject matter. :) Nice to see the FOs don't have a complete lock on the art of the non sequitor. <w>

Cheerio! Ray
