Re: The Eagles number is 9.0, which doesn't look too tough, given their great defense. I don't know if they upgraded at WR, though.

I think the Eagles are a better team than the 11-5 squad of 2000.......They upgraded their WR position (it wasn't hard) and their three WR set will be Thrash, Pinkston & Freddie Mitchell (Their #1 pick).

However, I wouldn't touch the 9 win number I can see the Birds finish anywhere from 7-9 to 11-5. I've outlined the reasons below:

The primary factor is schedule. The NFC East is the worst division in football but I see a letdown to the Skins or Cardinals in their games this season. I still don't know if they have figured out the Jints yet. (They have to split with the Jints at a minimum to have a shot at the NFC East crown)

Their out of division schedule is brutal. They draw the AFC West and play Seattle & KC away (KC is tough at home even when they suck). They have Oakland and San Diego at home. Oakland or Denver will end up with the AFC West crown and San Diego will be the most improved team in the NFL this season.

They open with the Rams at home (very tough game) and go on the road against Tampa (A revenge game for the Bucs) and to Seattle (I don't believe the Eagles have ever won at Seattle). They have a good possibility of being 0-3 out of the gate.

I'm on the same page with you with your other picks except the Ravens. I still expect a letdown even though they have upgraded QB with Grbac (who I'm no fan of but will concede he's better than the Banks/Dilfer combo of 2000).

I'm getting psyched for next Sunday. Bring it on
