We spent a few weeks in Milwaukee in - wow- the summer of 1978, I think. We loved it. Dan was interning with a large lawfirm (we split the summer between there and Dallas). COnsumed lots of bratwurst at the ballpark, toured the breweries, went to Oktoberfest... just found it a charming place. The thought of the winters did us in. Not that Dallas summers are better. He had an offer from San Diego--- what WERE we thinking. OH- but we never had a custard. Maybe that would have made the difference.
