I'm simply making an observation about basic economics. However, if the Bush energy policy is correct in its projections of rising domestic demand through the next 20 years compared to the potential rise in domestic production, then we will soon be relying more and more on foreign supply instead of less and less. Much more than simply domestic production can alleviate. This puts us in a position of needing to control more and more of the foreign sources of supply, potentially involving us much more in foreign political and even military conflict...OR...giving conservation and alternative energy production MUCH more weight than Bush/Cheney are now giving it.
