Yousef,

RE:"This is very bad news for AMD shareholders ... AMD has "fumbled" in the "process thingy"."

You seem to put everything in terms of Process and that's understandable.
If anything AMD has fumbled getting to .13u. BUT even then, the P4 w/ 20 stage pipe is just going to scale better... .13u or not.
They also fumbled NOT preparing for the widening Mhz gap and sitting around delaying the hammers...

RE:"INTC will "eat their lunch" on pricing, while
AMD won't be participating on the high-end."

You've learned Mhz sells-(TM McMannis" pretty well...

AMD will make up some ASP in notebook and server chips but not enough I think.

The reality may well be the consumer getting duped by high Mhz P4s coupled to SDRAM.
AMDs PR likely isn't smart enough to overcome that...if they read this thread they would be way ahead of the game...

Only two things will help AMD...nForce and 'da Hammers (if they scale better)...
Desktop Palomino apparently won't help...maybe a speed grade or two...
By the time they get to .13u, P4 will be at 2.5 Ghz it looks...
Meanwhile, Jerry will likely sell all rallies.

Jim
You've heard it here before.
