I think the point about the use of the word "queer" was brought up by someone else on another thread (ahem). personally, I wouldn't use it to describe gays, but I've seen and heard it used by some gays.

It bothers me too. Just as it bothers me when blacks refer to each other as "nigger". I think this is because when those with unsubtle minds (to put it charitably) hear this kind of usage, they think it's OK for them to speak that way too.

That is bizarre.
Fostering is more intense than adoption.
That is just so WEIRD.
I am so glad I do not live in Florida, or near Florida. And although we considered Disney World, forget it, I don't even want to go to Florida. I think I will write and tell them I am boycotting them. I am sure they will be terribly upset.
