In your response the Kanetsu you gave the ol "for the record" bit. What I was attempting to point out is that from my view you are contradicting yourself and your dates are a little off. And yes I am in left field (no I don't want your help getting out but thanks tho) and I have a slant on things that isn't the norm, but I thought all views were welcome here at HOME. In retrospect it is my mistake for bringing up those first posts of yours to Sharck on his new thread. The dates of those posts are all that is relevant to the points I was trying to make, not the content. Yes I know they were compliments, but my left field slant did pick up on a subtle hint of caution in your statement that he "earned" his nickname. What I was trying to point out is that you said you "promoting short-selling last September/October. . .even sent many readers over to follow Sharck's short-selling board". My left field slant does not interpret numerous posts on short sell trades in Sept and a couple compliments on a new thread in late Aug to be promotion of short selling or sending readers to a new board. My slant does interpret this post as just that:Message 15293117 To me, "I'll make a rare recommendation" is promotion and that post was an invitation to send your readers to a new board, no? That post was from Feb, but in your "for the record" defense to Kanetsu my left field slant took it as you saying all this happened in Sept/Oct. An exhaustive search for Sharck, short, and Rande showed no invitation to Sharck's board before your post in Feb. Was I wrong to assume this post was your short selling promotion and your sending of readers to his board? I can't interpret multitudes of short sale trades as short selling promotion now can I. Then in your "for the record" bit you say you were "boo hoo'd for my bearishness." [Now here's were my assumptions my have lead me wrong. I interpreted all this (promotion, sending readers..., and boo-hood) to happen in Sept/Oct. Am I wrong here? Cause it sure seemed to me that you were stating that it did.] I was trying to point out to you, that my slant picked out., from your post on Oct 23, when you're supposably being boo-hood for being bearish, that you seem extremely bullish. "I felt as though the markets had reversed. I announced that I thought it reversed. I took positions as if it had reversed. And I am holding my positions with both hands as if the Nasdaq had reversed its downward trend. Fully long and fully bullish"Message 14639484 I do not recall your turning bearish until this year, I could be wrong, I don't read every one of your posts. I do recall your banter with Softy during last fall and that you believed we were not in a bear market but a short selling rally. From your post on Jan 18: "I believe we will end January over 2800, perhaps even 3000". My slant interpreted you as still being bullish in the early part of this year. The bit about you cutting back your trading, my mistake, I should not have brought that up. Again they are not relevent to the main points I was trying to make. YOU did say YOU were cutting back on your short term trading. I know you were working on your new site and of course it is expected to jump into trading when the markets give the opportunity. So here's what I was trying to get at. You posted in defense of yourself, siting your past actions in regards to shorting, but my slanted left field view sees it different. You didn't send people to Sharks thread until Feb, but I interpreted you as saying you did this in Sept/Oct. You also said you were boo-hood for being a bear, but I don't recall you being bearish in Sept/Oct. I hope I've cleared up my intentions and that you don't hold my motivations in disdain, they are not to discredit you. They are merely to let you know someone with a slanted left field view sees it differently than you, and that when you step up on your soap box and give the ol' "for the record" bit in defense of yourself, misperceptions can arise. And finally I'd like to comment on your method to avoid misperceptions by using lots and lots of words. As a musician I'm sure you know this: less is more. That's my left field slant, I'm sorry if it offends you. regards Boyd
