Ahhh, your last sentence is truly an indicator of the subject of this poem.

There was a coltongang.
Of his credentials he loudly sang.
This did seem to me to be a clang.
Or was it of truth so little rang.
For if one learned not to rhyme.
Was the education worth even a dime.
Was the truth of coltongang hidden away
No the loon revealed needed no xray.
