You're on a roll! Enjoyed reading your responses!

Some of us are about two weeks away from the deadline for the third quarter estimated tax payment to the U.S. Treasury. Federal income taxes, social security and medicare all wrapped up in one big fat check, four times a year. If all taxpayers paid this way, maybe some ignorant minds would be converted.

With Sens. Byrd and Stevens, heading the Senate Appropriations Committee, year after year, these guys allow our tax dollars to be spent on shameful and wasteful pet projects.

I'll never forget the sanctimonious Sen. Byrd waiving his finger at the TV camera during the Clinton scandal in a quivering voice directed at Clinton's White House henchmen and saying "DON'T TAMPER WITH THIS JURY." You would have thought God was talking. Byrd later voted to acquit Clinton. Now this fellow has control of our tax dollars!

I hope Bush vetos all of Byrd's spending bills that exceed
the budget. Bush's tax cut is great and hoping for a capital gains tax cut next year.
