Well, not mid September when I was growing up. But always after Labor Day. Usually in our school the Wednesday after Labor Day -- the teachers went back on Tuesday. College is what amazes me. Some of them don't go back until October, and get out in May. With the tuitions I'm paying, by gad, they should be running a whole lot longer than that. Seems every year we pay more tuition for less education. Sigh. But the girls (boast time!) are still both carrying their straight A averages into their junior year. OW. Sorry. Sprained my arm trying to pat myself on the back. It's hell getting old! LOL!
