As to plans for NextWave, QCOM in Australia, Unicom in China, etc., we see barrier after barrier thrown up in the way of expansion. NextWave in my opinion will be tied up in litigation for the next two years at least, and therefore unable to implement any of its CDMA plans. That opinion is based on the politicization of the U.S. Supreme Court, which is now inclined to rule in favor of the most influential political powers, rather than subscribing to the constraints imposed by laws and the Constitution.

I am impressed by the potential success in Australia, but in terms of total subscribers, this is really a small piece of business. As for China, it's been mostly talk. The money is still flowing to upgrade and improve GSM. I'm just following the money.
