I hope that she (CB) realizes that our discussion began as an attempt to explain the public perception of her profession and not as an attack on her or her colleagues. Most people accept that laws are needed for the smooth functioning of our interactions and as our society becomes more complex it is reasonable that that the laws governing us compound to the point that specialists are required for them to be understood and applied correctly.

However, having said this, I'm still bracing myself as I await her response. I recognize that law is a profession where one must possess considerable aptitude for argument, debate, and persuasion. And don't forget these abilities are coupled with language skills honed to a razor edge. To those with such an arsenal, we, through a medium such as SI, become a target every bit as attractive as bulls find red flags.

Bye4Now, FD.

P.S. It's a rare gift to see ourselves as others view us.
